Board of Directors
David joined Incom shortly after the company's inception in 1989. Having advanced through the ranks of field sales, sales management and sales director, David and co-director, Jason Kilvert, bought the company in a management buyout in 2004. Since then, our team has grown considerably to almost 100 personnel.
Throughout the history of Incom, David has been instrumental in securing many prestigious national contracts including British Transport Police, The Range Superstores, Covea Insurance and Volkswagen.
Building a company that is great to work with, both as a customer and team member, has been a lifelong ambition, with David highlighting customer service, work/life balance and the welfare of his colleagues as motivators for ensuring he achieves his goal.
Outside of work, David's passions are his family and his sport running, cycling and playing football feature high on his list of activities. David likes to set himself an annual challenge and his past achievements include the Chester Marathon, the London Duathlon and every Bupa “Great Run” amassing over 70 miles. More recently, David achieved a long term goal to take part in the classic Athens marathon, running the historical route from Marathon to the Panathinaiko stadium.
Jason joined the company in 1993 as a storesman. Some eleven years later, having progressed through purchasing, engineering manager and director, Jason bought the company along with David Hughes.
Jason's breadth of knowledge spans multiple departments and proves invaluable in the smooth day-to-day running of the business. However, his expertise lies in his technical knowledge and the insight which he brings to the planning and installation of innovative customer solutions.
Jason's time outside of work is taken up with his young family, however, he and co-MD David are both lifelong Manchester City fans and enjoy following their team through league, cup and European games, home and away.
Corporate Sales Director
Grant joined Incom in 2000 as a salesman and is now our corporate sales director. His management of large and complex solutions has resulted in major contract wins including Northern Powergrid, Sterling Insurance, Royal Air Force Museum and The Range Superstores. Case studies of implementations carried out for Grant's customers have seen us win industry awards for contact centre solutions. The efforts of Grant and his team have also resulted in our becoming the fastest growing Northern Reseller of ShoreTel.
Another Manchester City fan, Grant is also a keen traveller, and his varied holidays will, this year, see him visit both Europe and Australia. An enthusiastic genealogist, Grant has traced his ancestors back to the 1100s.
Joining the Incom team in 2014, Ian qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1998 after first obtaining a degree in Accountancy at the University of Liverpool. Since qualifying, Ian has worked in a number of accountancy practices dealing with many owner-managed companies and SMEs with turnovers ranging from £1m to £100m. Over that time, he has worked closely with business owners advising on audit and accountancy requirements and also corporate finance transactions such as corporate acquisitions, disposals and management buy-ins and buy-outs. As an Associate in a large regional firm, Ian was also heavily involved in the administration of the practice, together with the development of their people and systems.
Outside of work Ian is a keen Liverpool supporter and golfer, being a member of Chorley Golf Club and maintaining a handicap of 4. He loves to travel and, having visited each of the World's continents, would say that New Zealand is the place he would most like to return to.
Having joined Incom in 2004 as a sales secretary, Debra now plays a pivotal role in the company, managing the European operations team and ensuring the smooth progression of every order, from cradle to grave. She also works closely with our service desk supervisor to maintain our enviable reputation for quality of service in the marketplace.
When not working, Debra is passionate about live music and can often be seen attending various live gigs around Manchester and beyond. Debra also enjoys fine dining and has an enviable list of Michelin-starred restaurants she has visited.
Paul is one of Incom's longest serving employees, having joined in September 1993. At the time, he had already been involved with some of the earliest networking and category five installations in the UK, and during his years with the company he has developed a knowledge base which now encompasses the most recent and flexible CTI applications. In this merged market, Paul's experience and depth of knowledge enables him and his team to install voice and data solutions for our customers to the highest technical standard.
In his spare time Paul and his family are often found enjoying the outdoor life in the Lake District. Paul is also a keen skier and has recently taken up kite surfing.
Andy joined the company in 1995 as a telecoms engineer bringing with him a wealth of experience of dealing with FTSE 100 companies and their highly-complex networks. His role as IT manager involves the design and implementation of fully converged voice and data networks, which can include database integration with core telephony products and bespoke application development to suit a customer's needs. Whatever the business communication needs of a customer, Andy and his team can produce a completely tailored solution by customising communications platforms to fit the requirements.
Outside of work, Andy is something of a 'foody' - he particularly enjoys cooking (and eating!) authentic Italian cuisine. He could also be described as a 'reluctant athlete', having been persuaded to join his colleagues to participate in this year's Great Manchester Run!
Business Mobile Manager
Dave is Incom's highly experienced business mobile manager, with 15 years served in the mobile industry. Dave and his team provide our customers with 'up-to- the-minute advice on all the UK mobile networks, and strive to develop long term business relationships through honest and proactive account management.
When not in work, Dave is usually up to his eyes in mud, running up hills and through forests! He has completed HellRunner, five years in a row and competed in many trail and road races. However, Daveï¿½s passion is for food and his biggest achievement was becoming a fully qualified chef.
John joined Incom in May 2013 as part of a new team designed to engage and grow our business within the SME market place. He has already been instrumental in helping increase our profile within the Health and Education sectors.
When not at work, John enjoys spending time with his young family and is often seen at Elland Road with his son, following the highs (and more recent lows!) of Leeds United FC.
